I was in San Francisco in September and the weather was cold and grey. So to make the photo a bit more interesting I kept the cross markings in colour then made it black and white in Photoshop. (p.s the weather here in Portland is still awful, this is the 3rd day of heavy rain, I hate not being able to go out and shoot!!!)
Very nice! I'm not ususally a big fan of these selective colour images (though I've done one or two myself) but I really think it's effective here. It adds much needed relief to the dismal greys of fog and rain. I also love the way the crosswalk lines in perspective reflect the form of the Transamerica building in the background.
